Abstract

Over time, the challenges and roles faced by teachers will certainly change along with changes in the applicable curriculum. One of the changes faced is in the field of technology which can play a role but can also affect these changes. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is to find out about the challenges and roles faced by teachers in the independent curriculum. The research method used in this research is literature review by searching for existing writings or literature in the form of books, journals, articles, and other relevant sources from the internet. The results in this study that there are challenges faced by teachers in teaching a skill that is demanded in the current curriculum, and there is also a role faced by teachers, namely that they must be able to provide appropriate teaching so as to produce effective learning and be able to face challenges in implementing the independent curriculum
