Abstract

Indonesia with its ethnicity, language, customs, religion and culture is popularly known as a pluralistic society (a pluralistic society). The diversity that exists has positive potential. as a unique treasure, and should be maintained and preserved, even though there is also a negative potential, which can lead to extremism, tribal primordialism and conflict. Responding to the last thing that requires community awareness from various parties, including education in this research. The world of education must be able to offer choices to educate students, through design materials, methods, to a curriculum that is able to raise awareness in the wider community to display tolerance, respect for different ethnicities, religions, races, ethnicities and cultures. Contextualization is needed in the hope of having a strong student character to appear democratic, pluralist and humanist. The Qur'an provides education to respect each other at the level of various universal values ​​with the aim of rahmatan lil'alamin QS. Al-Anbiya' [21]: 107. The instructions in it also give indications for eliminating tribal and primordial fanatics, which are contained in QS. Al-Hujurat [49] 13, as well as various Al-Qur'an instructions that educate about peace, compassion, respect for differences, and others. This research through Library Research. This type of research through a qualitative approach, descriptive. While the themes compiled are based on deductive and inductive approaches. The research departs from various problems and the reality that occurs, then seeks solutions from the Qur'an, then completes it through structuralist, philological analysis and sociological analysis. The purpose of this research is to contextualize the message of the Qur'an regarding its response through education, which is then expected to be a Qur'anic solution to the dynamics of uniqueness, as well as providing solutions in the midst of various problems in diversity and global civilization.
