Abstract

This research is based on students' need for learning resources that can facilitate efficient and effective learning activities. The purpose of this research is to develop student worksheets (LKS) based on guided inquiry which can be used as learning resources on the Pythagorean material. LKS was developed using the ADDIE model. The research data were collected using tests and questionnaires. The average score of the questionnaire obtained was calculated as a percentage and then compared with the criteria for validity and practicality. To measure the effectiveness of the LKS, an experimental study was conducted in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Batang Tuaka. The mean score of student learning outcomes was analyzed using the Mann Whitney test. The results of the research and data analysis showed that this guided inquiry-based worksheet was feasible and easy to use in learning mathematics. This worksheet is effective in improving the learning outcomes of the Pythagorean theorem. LKS based on guided inquiry can be used as a tool or source of learning material for the Pythagorean theorem.
