PERAN KEPEMIMPINAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN DISIPLIN KERJA PEGAWAI PADA KANTOR CAMAT KAMPAR KIRI TENGAH KABUPATEN KAMPAR
Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of leadership in improving employee work discipline at the Kampar Kiri Tengah Sub-district Office, Kampar Regency. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the Sub-district Head's interpersonal role is quite good in creating harmonious and comfortable working relationships, but is not yet fully consistent as a role model of discipline. In the informational role, the delivery of information and supervision has not been carried out effectively and comprehensively, so that there are still employees who do not understand disciplinary standards. Meanwhile, the role of decision-making has not been implemented fairly and evenly, especially in the division of tasks and the imposition of sanctions. This has an impact on increasing employee absenteeism from year to year. Leadership has a significant influence on employee work discipline, but still needs to be improved in the aspects of exemplary behavior, supervision, and consistency of decision-making to create a disciplined and professional work culture
