KESEHATAN BANK DAN POTENSI FINANCIAL DISTRESS PADA INDUSTRI PERBANKAN BERBASIS SYARIAH PERIODE 2020-2023

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of bank health and potential financial distress using the RGEC method and the Zmijewski method in the Sharia-based banking industry in Indonesia for the period 2020-2023. This research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study is the Sharia-based banking industry in Indonesia. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling, with several criteria. The sample of this study was the Sharia-based banking industry, totaling 11 companies. The results of this study indicate that the health level of the Sharia-based banking industry in Indonesia for 2020-2023 using the RGEC method and the Zmijewski method is considered healthy and stable, or does not experience potential financial distress. Therefore, the performance of the Sharia-based banking industry in Indonesia is said to be good in facing the negative impacts of business fluctuations.
